When can I be seen?
As soon as our office is contacted,
our bilingual coordinator will schedule an appointment with you.
In addition, there is no limit to the number of times you can schedule
an appointment.
Do I have to be homebound to request a house
call?
The main focus of our
practice is geriatric or home bound patients and others with special
needs. Please call to see if you qualify.
Is my examination with a house call the same
as an office visit?
Yes. Examinations performed during a house
call visit include the same evaluation techniques and diagnostic
testing that you would receive in a doctors office. Many of the
tests and treatment options that were previously available only
in an office setting are now administered in the home.
Can I have prescriptions filled through HousecallsNY.org?
Yes. Our medical professionals can prescribe
medications as part of their medical treatment.
Can I still use other doctors?
Yes.Our medical professionals will work with
your doctor(s) to coordinate your health care needs. All notes made
during a house call are provided to your physician.
Is HousecallsNy.org an emergency service?
No. HousecallsNY.org
is not an emergency service. If you are having a medical emergency
please call 911.
How am I charged for a house call visit?
HousecallsNY.org visits are covered by Medicare
and most forms of private insurance. We will bill primary and secondary
insurance carriers for the patient. If insurance does not cover
the visit, you may pay privately.
Do I have to use one of the hospitals that
HousecallsNY.org is affiliated with?
Though we would like our patients to use one
of the hospitals our physicians are affiliated with, we do not require
patients to use hospitals wherewe are on staff.
